IT'S NEARLY THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!
FOURTH WALL INFORMATION POST!
For those of you who aren't sure what's going to happen/what it is/etc. I will try to explain as coherently as possible! :>
Why?
Basically, it's just a sort of an IC opportunity to talk to characters from rpers all over DW. Invite them over, rp with them, etc. It's generally pretty cracky and 'you meet yourself' a lot but it's also a good way to get canon mates!
Where?
There will be designated posts onadddictions that you will post to. We'll post the links on this comm as well, along with a link back to this post for a refresher!
How?
There are multiple ways you can do this, and I'll try not to be confusing.
SUBJECT: Your character's name (you can add fandom too, if you want)
TEXT: [flies past leaving sparkles in her wake]
SUBJECT: Your character's name (you can add fandom too, if you want)
TEXT: Well this is weird.
SUBJECT: Your character's name (you can add fandom too, if you want)
TEXT: ALL LOCKONS MEET UP HERE RIGHT NOW.
That make sense? It can be action, prose, first person, third person, it doesn't matter - start something, see where it goes, comment around. Anyone can start a thread, be them a member or not, that's the point of this. This is not a place for players to talk to characters, however, so please restrain yourselves from commenting OOC. This is completely IC. Generally speaking, the accepted background is a sort of party around the big 'fourth wall', but there is no official setting - if you really want it to, it can be... wherever. An open, blank room, a specific world or place, or just a regular first person thread - in the end, it's all up to you.
When?
This weekend! It'll go on from Friday to Monday; I will make new posts as we need them but Monday is the last day. You can continue threading however long you want beyond that so long as it stays in those posts.
Who?
YOU. :D You can post as existing characters, characters you've thought about RPing, old characters, characters you never will apply here but feel like throwing in the mix anyway, etc. The only thing we ask is that they not be original characters. The only OCs allowed would be those termed 'canon OCs', as in people who are mentioned or have incredibly minor parts in canon but not enough information to be less than like 95% headcanon. For example, the Homestuck Ancestors would be playable here, but your fantroll would not. AU versions of characters are fine too! (However, usual application rules still apply should you catch someone's interest, unfortunately; you still won't be able to bring them to the game proper.)
As a final rule, due to the nature of fourth wall, we unfortunately cannot allow threads to be made canon even with permission from all muns involved, sorry.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask and we'll try to answer them as much as we can. :> Also, please feel free to advertise to your other games! We'd love to see people from everywhere and anywhere!
