ALRIGHT DUCKS IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN
ALRIGHT. March's here, finally, and with it a new monthly virus poll. However, because we have so many backed up, this one's going to be a little different.
PLEASE READ THIS, IT IS IMPORTANT: For each of the two sections you get three votes. That's three votes for three/four-day and three votes for one/two day. I know they're spread across two questions (BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY SOB) but I will be checking, so please be careful about the number you vote for. Please vote with DDD journals only, if you do vote with a non-DDD journal then tell me in a comment or else I'll have to discount the vote.
The viruses we have on poll are all awesome and it'll be a real shame to see any of them go, but we need to prune the list down here. For the same reason, the virus submissions post is now CLOSED. It will be re-opened at a later date, but right now, no more new viruses please.
Without further ado:
Four Days (ish) Viruses
- Crossover AU virus: Characters wake up suddenly written into the fabric of another fandom, with modified memories etc to fit.
- Seven Sins/Virtues virus: Characters become the embodiment of a Sin or a Virtue.
- Timeskip virus: Characters fast-forward in their timelines several years or so.
- Badfic virus: Characters are now living in a badfic. Hilarity ensues.
- Plz Giv Me Hugz virus: Characters desire affection from others, innocent or otherwise.
- Done With You Professionally virus: Characters are convinced they are actors of their own canons. :|b
- Regression virus [Repeat]: Enjoy relapsing on your childhood, gaiz
- Disney Virus: Surprise! You're part of a Disney movie!
- Flipped Relationships: Relationships are the opposite of what they usually are.
- Mix n' Match virus: 1: Take two previously-done viruses. 2: Combine them into one powerhouse virus. 3: ???? 4: PROFIT.
- I'm Invincible! virus: NOTHING CAN HURT ME, HA HA HA-- oh wait, now it can
- Hogwarts virus: Which house will you be in?
- Bending virus: Characters suddenly gain the ability to manipulate water, wind, earth or fire.
- This Must Be A Virus! virus: Actually, you just think it is, everyone's acting completely normally.
- Who Are You Anyway virus: Characters forget someone(s) close to them, and have fake memories to match. Think What If virus.
- Just Like Daddy virus: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Characters act like they think one of their parents does/did and think they are them.
- Sailor Moon virus: Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight...
- Same Name Different Game virus: An alternate genre that fits your name. That's the name of the game.
- Harem virus: Like Karen, but more overt.
One/Two Days viruses
- Accidental Recordings virus: Daily life gets posted to the comm uncontrollably. Plus Spy Camera variation.
- Think Sexy Thoughts virus: Characters have sex on the brain, expect it to come out in posts and comments.
- True Faces virus: What’s outside reflects what’s inside for once.
- Romance Novel virus: Characters get stuck in cliché-filled bodice-rippers/romance novels.
- Teleportitus: Characters can still worldhop-- but they don't end up quite where they intended...
- That's what she said: Your mom's a virus.
- You are NOT the father!: It's Maury Povitch day!
- No Consequences: Nothing you do today matters! ...wait, it does.
- What you've Always Wanted: Characters get their greatest wish.
- Tits or GTFO virus: Suddenly, GIGANTIC BREASTS, EVERYWHERE.
- Opposite Doppelgangers virus: Suddenly, you've got an evil twin. Or a good twin.
- Trip Down Memory Lane virus: So those little snippets of important memories? Yeah, they're going on the comm.
- Wardrobe Malfunction virus: Expect to keep making like Janet Jackson.
- Stats virus: Character stat screens are visible to everyone else.
- Emoticons virus: :O? D8!! ...=_=;;
- Questions Only virus: You mean characters can only communicate through questions?
- Glee virus: All singing, all dancing!
- Texts from Last Night virus: I did what with the karaoke microphone and the monkey?
- Rumour Mill virus: Heard that rumour going around? Now it's the gospel truth.
- Memories Can Weigh You Down virus: When we say the past lies heavy on our shoulders, we mean it.
