I need to drop some more characters, but I really need help picking which ones I need to drop. Here's the deal: Stephen Colbert, Mary-Sue and Ali-G are crack characters. I usually use them when the community is slow and I hear, "DDD is slow today" or "I'm bored" in chat. They really don't count as characters. However I do have a bunch of characters and if anyone wants to play one and I snagged them, feel free to ask me; I don't mind handing them over to you.

The following aren't up for grabs:

Yunalesca, Rufus, Yazoo, Isshin, Abel Nightroad, Lisa Cuddy, Seymour Guado and Jack Sparrow.

Think I'll be on a hiatus for a few days, friends~ I'll keep up with the threads I have going, of course, but I've been feeling out of touch with my characters for a while now, so I need a little time for thought. I'll be around, just not very much. Haven't been around enough lately anyway. D:

My laptop is uh, retarded and slightly broken :D Well, the usb ports are dead among other things. So, I have to mail it in to the company to have it fixed. Which sucks a whole load.

Anyway. So that means I'll be on hiatus for about a week and a half I'm going to die. D8 starting tomorrow. This only affects Matt, but if you need something from him, he has a voicemail post, so you can comment there and I'll comment back whenever I can commandeer the desktop.

A while ago, Garrett announced to the community that he was on the run from some group that wished him harm. Well, he's still on the run. And still looking for places to stay.

So his plan is to use the Door Glyph to hop across worlds. This will work like Demyx's World Tour way back when. Over the course of a week, he will visit the people who volunteer to let him stay the night. If you want him to come over post a RL post in your character's journal. All posts will be replied to at the same time and some may still be going on after the week's over. But, let's face it, doing one visit thread a day? Not realistic. We'll just assume they all took place in the same week.

Now, here's the thing. Garrett isn't worldhopping for leisure and to make it "worth his while" he will be robbing everyone he stays with. In the morning after he's left, you'll notice your valuables are gone. Or some of them. You will NOT notice him taking your stuff. He is very, very, VERY stealthy. That's pretty much all he has going for him. What he takes is up to you, be it just money/jewelry or something more specific. No panties, though. While that WOULD be funny, it would just be extremely OOC for him. D: ((But Worldhopper Panty-raid has merit...let's do this sometime))

I figure this is a good way for him to get out and finally meet people, and maybe stir up a little trouble without any blood being shed.

I was thinking of starting the Monday of next week, after the Bodyswap has mostly petered out.

Maa, sometimes it seems like it can be hard to get to know people, and some people don't even log onto AIM and such.
So I wanted to ask, how is it that everyone found and decided to join this community?
I was especially curious for people who seem like they didn't know anyone to start with (and sometimes also don't pick an already known character).
