Hi HO!

Because I'm a dork and can't manage who's on hiatus or dropped or anything of that nature, and because there are new players who might not know what's going on, please be clicking on this hyperlink thing or whatthefreak you ever call it. and make certain my Achmed information is updated! It's great that everyone's being creative and coming up with new virus ideas, but I'm starting to receive concerns that we're having too many of them and it might be getting in the way of more character-driven plot.

So, these are my ideas. (Well, okay, #2 wasn't my idea. But I'm stealing it. >D)
1. Keep going the way things are.
2. Have a virus-free month now and then, starting with April. (Although we really should do something for April Fools' ;) )
3. Extend the set gap between viruses from the current two-to-three weeks to, I don't know, a month... Wait, that'd basically be #2 wouldn't it. XD
4. Have more of them be one or two-day events (i.e. Eros Day) instead of week-long epics. But keep them spaced out, of course.
5. If you've got another idea, tell us~

Smaller-scale viruses and events only affecting a few characters are still fine anytime, of course. :) Spontaneity is A++! We're talking about the major community-wide ones. For those who're new here- It bears repeating that viruses are not mandatory. We want you to have fun, not feel pressured. :)

Larger events (i.e. the tournament Darc-mun's organizing; the BB murders a few months ago; comm-wide parties) are also still okay! Just let the mods know what you're up to so we don't have any major conflicts. :)

Hiatus until further notice, guys! This affects Dante (dudeinred), Sam (wittywitwicky), and Miguel (toughtobeagod).

Ok, so I was thinking of an idea for a possible event.

It would go along the lines of groups of 3-4 characters getting stuck in a sort of puzzle-house. Just randomly (much like some viruses are). And each group needs to try and figure their way out of the house. They wouldn't have any method for communicating on the comm (Or else they'd just ask for a worldhop).

Each character could have a room designed for their strengths (perhaps they're the only one there strong enough to do something, or the only one who would know the answer to a puzzle) but they'd have to work as a group to get out. There could be dangerous traps to keep the characters from trying to take "random guesses" (say, a pit of spikes). And whichever group got out first would be able to go home the first day. The second group would be able to go home the next day. Etc etc.
So if there were 7 groups, the last group would be stuck with each other for a whole week. I figure the area they can be stuck at can be like the cold top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere, without too much in the way of shelter or food, so that characters wouldn't want to get stuck there.
I also figured people could design their owns rooms fitted to their characters. Not so much that the character is the only one who can do anything, but so that their character's strength is needed.

It's mostly an event revolving around forcing characters to work together, and an opportunity for more secluded characters to have to interact.

Just to keep everybody on the up-and-up, we've had a chance to discuss the virus issue and other community issues including events with several of you, and are still receiving input in Click's post. The mods are currently discussing what we can do to make things run a bit more smoothly around here, so thank you to everyone for your suggestions! I think we'll be able to make a few changes that everyone will be happy with.

We'll still be considering incoming opinions, so feel free to continue commenting on the last post.

Those of you who know me in person probably knew this was a long time in coming, but I'm going to have to drop. I've got too much going on in my personal life that I have to dedicate myself to right now and I can't really dedicate myself as fully as I have in the past to DDD. My Balthier muse is still here and strong, don't get me wrong, I just can't obligate myself to this right now.
