Hi. It's uh, Giro, you know the person who hasn't been here almost all year. I've... come to make it official. I'm dropping DDD.

It's been a wild, wild ride, but when I take a hiatus in March (or before? I HONESTLY DON'T REMEMBER) and haven't gotten back the urge to play in August, it's time to go. I came here in February 2008, and even with a LOT of fail and ups and downs, I love this place dearly. But I have other stuff to attend to, both online and off, and I have to narrow my games. Unfortunately, due to lack of activity, I've got to pull out.

I'm going to miss all of you, though. And who knows, I may come back someday. I'm in ink_city though, if anyone wants to join me over there. /hint And of course, I can always be PMed for musebox shenanigans.

A-anyway, it's not goodbye. It's a... "See you later," ducks.

She's a good person, despite her penchant for the occasional pushing of people off the roof or laughing like she's a villain.

For anyone who didn't already know, the Marauders + Lily are being canon updated tomorrow. We're making them skip their sixth year at Hogwarts and go straight from their fifth to their seventh. This means that that James, Sirius, Remus, Peter and Lily will have had a year away from the comm in their world even if it seems no time has passed here.

Well, semi-sorta hiatus. Basically I'm going away for the weekend, starting tomorrow (Friday 19th) and returning some time on Sunday 21st. I won't have internet access except for my phone so won't be posting or tagging.

I realise I haven't been about much lately anyway but hopefully this break will let me come back with my enthusiasm topped up and ready to get my girls out there again.

Hey, guys! This is a reminder that Activity Check starts in two weeks, on the first of September. If you'll remember from this announcement, we're doing things a little differently this time: AC will cover the months of June, July, and August, and we'll be expecting thirty comments from each character instead of the usual twenty (characters who were accepted during the months of July or August will be exempt). It's time to start making sure that you'll have enough activity to pass!

Hi guys! Remember how I mentioned that the 19th is DDD's 5th anniversary? Well, the comm would like to celebrate!

Every single one of DDD's myriad characters is going to wake up tomorrow morning with this cake somewhere in their room. It can be anywhere from sensibly on a table to a fire hazard on the pillow, that's up to you. Go nuts! The point is, it's certainly not a lie - it is in fact delicious and moist, although it can be any flavour from chocolate to sponge to rainbow.

Just to make sure you have ALL THE FUN, you will also be wearing a party hat. Because ducks love those party hats. Expect to find a party streamer near the cake, too. Happy anniversary, DDD! Here's to another five years.

Oh, and expect to be finding glitter and confetti in unexpected places around where you live for the next, oh, month or so - it's an unavoidable side effect to a celebration, I'm afraid. Can't be helped.
