Well, I legitimately never thought that this day would come.

DDD was my first ever RP game. In all honesty, I can't even remember how I found it, but I know I lurked for a good while before I joined; I dimly recall reading the DDD Wiki while I was working up the nerve to jump in, and I mean all of it. I read the OOC and IC AIM chat logs top to bottom, I read every player page and character page. I was embarrassingly bad when I first joined. I've never dared to look for my old threads from back then because I'd probably die of shame. I have improved quite a bit since then, thank god.

Which is kind of the point I wanted to come to: DDD has given me a lot. It's the main source of my improvement in writing, characterisation, analysis of characters and texts. (Super useful in high school.) I've made a lot of good friends here, whether or not we're still close now; I'd say that some of the friends I've gotten from DDD are my closest! I've picked up interests that stuck with me for good. I've made a lot of fantastic memories that I'll always treasure, both from the good ol' days and from recent years. I'm a third of the way into my seventh year at DDD, I've played a total of 30+ characters, and I've been here throughout all of the game's big changes. For seven years now, DDD has been my home.

When I first joined, I could never have imagined being a member of this wonderful community for seven years. A year into my time here, I swore up and down that I would never ever leave.

Sadly, things don't always go the way we want them to, and all things come to an end. I'll miss everyone and everything, but I've realised that it's time for me to move on. I want to thank everyone, ex-players and current, old and new, for gifting me with some of the best times of my life in these past seven years. I wish everyone the best for the future, and I'd be very happy if I ever ran into any of you in some other corner of RP someday. I'm rooting for you, DDD!

So, goodbye from me and from Minatsuki (who's been here for four years straight, wow). It's been fun, you guys. (And talk about bad timing, when we just had the big official "which mods are dropping" post.)
