Hey guys! So Christmas might be over, but the winter season is still in full swing. In celebration, we have a winter event for you! Hope your characters like the snow, because the community's hosting a getaway to a fabulous luxury ski resort from 28th-1st!
In the beautiful Enten-Anka Resort, there's skiing and snowboarding on offer for all skill levels. Protective gear and equipment is available for free for any guest. Beginners will be encouraged to travel together (whether they know each other or not) for safety's sake, or with a more experienced guest. Experts will of course be allowed up the tracks on their own. The only way up to the top of the mountain is the ski lift, though, so not recommended for characters with a fear of heights! If you happen to get lost on the mountain, the staff are almost scarily good at finding their guests - you'll be returned to camp before midnight.
Back at base, the resort itself is made up of cosy lodges. Each lodge is a four-bedroom house in its own right - maybe characters will get lucky and be housing with people they know and like, or maybe their housemates will be total strangers! Each lodge comes equipped with a roaring fireplace, a cupboard full of board games, and a fully-stocked fridge. (You won't ever see the staff refill it, but rest assured, every morning it will be full again.) Also provided is a wardrobe full of warm clothes in each character's size, including coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. They might be in ridiculously bright colours and have patterns that look like bus seats, but at least they're comfortable!
In the big central public lodge, you'll also find a large heated indoor pool and sauna, a hot all-you-can-eat buffet every night, and an open bar lounge. Once again, at the bar, anyone underage in their home country will find their drinks automatically non-alcoholic. You'll also find an outdoor jacuzzi, where guests can sip champagne and look at the stars in comfort. (Side note: all pools require bathing suits. Skinny dipping will land you a firm escorting back to your lodge.)
There's a local legend about the white well a little way into the forest surrounding the Resort. Characters might hear about it from the staff, or on the information booklets about the Resort scattered around the lodges. They say that if you take a snowdrop flower from the slopes of the mountain, pack it into a snowball with a strand of your hair, and then let it fall into the well, you get to make one wish to come true in the year to come. The locals say it never fails as long as the wish is pure.
(The management would like to make it clear that the Resort is not responsible for any accidents and injuries sustained on the property, and that they are qualified only to give necessary first aid. Any injuries that do occur will not be healed upon leaving the Resort. In addition, in the event of a snowstorm-caused blackout, all guests will congregate in the main lodge for safety and warmth. Sleeping bags and extra blankets will be provided.)
