Back I am! This is the official end of my semi-hiatus. The convention this past weekend was much fun indeed. No cosplaying on my part after all (damn you work and illness!), but my friends pulled off some great costumes on their parts, and in general the cosplay there was pretty good. I'll be making an entry with pictures and stuff on my personal journal soon.

So yes, my hiatus is over. It's good to be back! *hugs all* ♥ What'd I miss my dear duckies? :)

Hello all! Now that I’m back from the land of Frenchness, time for me to spam you with more series 4 event planning, and this time, a sign-up post for reals.

(I say sign-up post, but the first part of this event only really affects people who know Ten or the Master, so anyone who chats with them on a regular basis needs to read this, urgently! XD)

Remember this post? The one about the DW plot event that I’m hoping to set in motion in November. If you haven’t seen it yet, please read it before reading anything else in this post, because otherwise it will make no sense at all! ^_^

- Another important thing to mention about this event is characters who may be exempt from the amnesia that the change in history has caused. Anyone who is outside time would fall into this category, and would be able to see that something was terribly wrong. I’m thinking that Gods, Death, Yuuko, and anyone else of that nature would be part of this group.

If there’s no problems, then with the grace of the mods the event should be happening between the 10th and the 19th of November – roughly! This is still very much changeable if there’s any problems at all!

Again I must say: Co-operation between canon-mates and indeed, everyone, is a must in this event. We’re essentially re-writing DDD history for a week, so it really won’t work unless we’re all on the same page.

For those to understand my canon: Stargate; you will know that the Stargate is a portal to other worlds in that canon.

I was wondering what people (especially the mods) thought about makes the Stargate a world hopper?

I don't know if this is right way to go about this but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Okay so I haven't been around the past few days. Between moving myself into more dorm, reuniting with friends, and starting classes, I lost track of my game flist, and I apologize~

My activity's probably gonna be fairly shit compared to what it was over the summer--I have an intense semester coming up, moreso than I'd anticipated. I'll keep up with the comm as best I can, but I just want to say here that if you ever have a thread or a post or something that you want one of mine to respond to, please please please feel free to ask me! I'm on AIM a lot--WarpedDreamer--or you can leave a comment at my contact post and I'll get right to it! :D I really really don't mind being asked to thread, and I don't bite, I swear! I'm really sorry if this comes off presumptuous and all "I am so awesome everybody wants to play with me", which I'm sure it does; I just want you guys to know I'm always up for threading, with anybody! Eheh... Akushou here with a question to the duckling masses.

I have yet to finish the book, but when I do I sort of want to app as Stephen King's 'IT'. If you haven't read the book or seen the movie, 'It' is pretty much an ancient monster plaguing the town of Derry that eats little children and scares the crap out of people. It usually takes on the form of Pennywise the Clown, but I haven't gotten to the point yet.

It usually is able to read the fears of anyone it interacts with, and so it will either change into the shape of what the person is afraid of or will say something to bring those fears out and rattle the person up a bit. So, the POINT is, if I were to app as It, would people be willing to help me out and give out some of their character's deepest fears so Pennywise can have his fun, or should I not bother because it would be too big of an invasion of privacy? :/

Like a lot of the posts lately, this is a... well, it's a post about my somewhat slowed activity; I'm in my senior year of college and am working on both finishing my BA requirements (Religious Studies, for those of you who didn't know) and finishing my MA prerequisite classes (I'm going for a Museum Studies degree in Anthropology), so... yeah, between the two hundred pages a night and exams and papers, I won't have a whole lot of time to play.

This isn't to say that I am going on hiatus -- simply that I won't be around as much. I love my boys far too much to drop or even hiatus, so when I get a moment here or there, I'll be replying to whatever posts I can. I probably won't be able to pick up any new RLs anytime soon -- but those I have going at the moment, I will definitely keep up with them as best I can, okay?

So, who's up for a little plottiness? Schro's noticed that some of you really could do with more to journal about. And he's come up with an solution! Being the kind soul he is, he wants to make your worlds a little more interesting - an explosion here, an assassination there, that sort of thing. Real newsworthy stuff. Of course, nobody would know it was him.

This would work best for characters that are the only ones from their world, but if you can co-ordinate between the other people from your canon, there's no reason it shouldn't work for those too. You would volunteer your character, their world, and a possible event that could be orchestrated easily by one person with rather physics-hax abilities - an assassination in a locked room, a vault robbery with no signs of entry, and so on. I'd schedule them all up, and on the correct day, your character(s) would then see such an event in the news, (or however they would hear of it), and thus blog about it if they were so inclined.

tl;dr instant drama on your world, would you like a side of fries with that?
