Hey, guys!

I know you're all hyped for Shadowplot on the 17th, but as some of you may have noticed (on the calendar no less) we have one happy virus coming up before then.

VALENTINE'S DAY~! I'd put sparkles, but I forget how. It's half two in the morning, okay. No judging.

Now, every year, we've had the traditional "fall in love with someone of your choosing on the community", and last year we shook it up a bit with a Red String of Fate option. This year, we're combining the two for the best of both worlds.

See, there's a secondary trope to the red string of fate. Strangled by the Red String. Not as dark as it sounds, promise - but what it means for you, dear players, is that this time you don't get the luxury of a real connection with your stringmate. In fact, you might not know them at all. But if the virus has its way, you'll be close outta nowhere by the end of the day!

Here's how this is gonna work, DDD. You throw your characters in here - screened comments! - and on Friday, I'll collect 'em up, toss 'em in a hat, and randomly create pairs from that. On Monday, participating characters will wake up with a red string on them (tied around their wrist, otherwise the same old song and dance as last year). They'll feel a compulsion to follow this string, or at least a deep curiosity at what's on the other end. And the closer the two sides of the string get, the more affectionate and emotionally connected the tied parties will feel toward each other. It's not necessarily head-over-heels love-at-first-sight….but once you two meet, you're probably going to be acting something like a lovey-dovey new couple soon enough anyway, with all the affection you'll be feeling! Love is, after all, in the air, and there's something about this person...

The age-old traditional option is of course still there, because we can't bear not to have it. We'd really like to encourage you to do the new option, though! This is a great opportunity for some totally new and unexpected CR.

So my computer is officially dead. No cheating to get it back alive like I did when Bella posted that emergency hiatus for me. The good news is I literally need my computer to have even a prayer of passing my classes so I should have a replacement by this weekend and I can still use the computers at school. Bad news? I need to use all my school computer time to do math and write papers. Tags? Will be done super sporadically. The school obviously doesn't have AIM either so you guys are going to have to pm, plurk, or text me anything I need to know about. I can see just checking my fl right now there's a few things I need to get to but, bear with me guys. Send me links if I don't get to them by tomorrow or else I'm going to forget all about it.

Hey DDD! Fel here, looking for anyone who would be interested in being involved in part of the Doctor's resurrection mini-plot!

As you may have noticed from the last secret on the first day of the last DDD secrets round, and the two posts here and here, something odd seems to be going on with the community's code! The reason for this? There's a very dazed and confused Time Lord stuck inside, and he's asking for help.

The background is this: after Ten apparently died near the end of last year, the TARDIS saved him to the community servers (in the same way people were "saved" to the computer in the Library in that one Who two-parter). He quite understandably wants out, which is where you guys come in! At the moment, Lockon, Motoko, Mileina et al. are trying to find out why the community's code is going so weird - once they realise the Doctor is trapped inside, they'll start organising a rescue team to go brave the Vashta Nerada-infested Library planet in the Doctor's universe and pull him out of cyberspace from there.

The actual rescue itself will probably be assumed, especially if we get a lot of volunteers, but if you want your character to be involved in the rescue, please comment here! Basically, this is an OOC sign-up post so that I know who's doing what when in advance - the IC one will probably happen whenever Lockon et al. twig what's going on and Miri if this isn't okay for me to say please let me know. ;3;
