Plot Stuff
So I got the go-ahead but haven't done anything with it. So here it is:

Kaitou will be travelling through time, trying to chase down a Imagin who has granted his wish to "Change Everything". As such, he will be moving through time and worlds, trying to prevent this Imagin from doing something terrible to the timestream.

This is where you come in. He will also be world hopping as a result, and may very well get involved in a previous canon or DDD canon incident of yours. I'd like you, as a player to list a event that would be good for him to meddle in, involving explosions and Riders in your otherwise placid timelines placid yeah right and stuff he can change.

Any resulting damage will be fixed, or not depending on what you want. So fill out this form and have a ball.

Nanoha A's Finale
So we've seen Hayate's "final" post here and while the main cast and Kefka pokes at the main part, there will be a Event Post going up in a bit. It'll be a tagging free for all. Being that the Book of Darkness is a multi-limbed being, it can take punishment from all sides so there's no tagging order unless the players want to set one up.

As it stands it will be going up later today, and there'll definitely be lots of fighting. I'll be tagging from Hayate's journal NPCing the Defense Program as permission had allowed. You can assume the main Nanoha cast is fighting alongside you of course, but of course being said keep to the usual NPC guidelines saying that they're probably doing their own thing from one side.

So as always, have fun and the post will be up shortly!

EDIT: The post is here! No posting order, just have fun.

Player Run Plot For Oct
It's October and you know what that means: it's time for the presentation of a player run event! To this end, I present to you all...

Kaitou's handy guide to surviving the Rider War! As Shown Here if you missed the livestream on Saturday.

The way this event is going to work is that the movie AllRider vs DaiShocker will be coming up soon on the 2nd week of October, and run between the 7th to the 11th as a week-long binge of chaos. This serves as both a canon update for the Kamen Rider Decade storyline, but also as a interactive event for people.

There will be a post on the main community of the events laid out and then people can react to it. At this point in time, the floodgates will open and many worlds (you can choose if your world is affected or not), will be flooded with Shocker Kaijin of all kinds. Kaijin are of course, monsters, typically cyborgs and will be running through a whole gauntlet of creature types. Following is a handy guide to the monsters available for this event:

Shocker Combatmen: These are your basic enemies. Dressed in black from head to toe with a skull motif, they precede themselves with a loud "EEE!" and a "Hail Hitler"-style salute. Yes, Shocker is Ex-Nazi. They host considerable strength being remodelled humans into cyborgs, and will explode if dealt enough damage. Expect these guys in droves, and they're usually armed with large knives and/or firearms.

Shocker Kaijin: These range between creatures such as Tigers, Lions and Bears. Usually distinguishable by overlarge belt buckles and their tendency to yell their animal names out. Shocker Kaijin are humans remodelled with animal characteristics in order to make them stronger. Enough damage will make them explode.

Heisei Era Kaijin: This is where things get a little more nitty gritty, in the monster types. For the sake of the plot, and the fact that everyone in Decade seems to ignore these facts, they are all killable with enough damage and will go down in droves if dealt enough damage. There is a lot of enemies involved here, all in animal-based creatures. The following are below:

Grongi: These monsters are strong, with various types of them. The Grongi are Kuuga's enemies and precede the following types. When struck hard enough, their belts send a self-destruct signal across their bodies and they explode.

Unknown: Significant here are the caster-types, armed with staves who like to cast big area of effect magic. Their goal is to prevent human evolution. They are also able to be destroyed. These monsters are the enemies of Agito.

Mirror Monsters: The monsters of Ryuki who feed on humans in order to survive. They are present mostly in reflective surfaces, and a sort of ringing precedes them. If you hear this, get the hell away from the reflective surface and prepare for a fight. They will emerge into the real world for this event. For the purpose of this, Shereghosts which are numerous in count will be representing Ryuki's enemies. The Shereghosts only power is that they attack in swarms.

Orphnochs: Faiz presented us with evolved humans who have died. The Orphnochs. They tend to attack their victims by burning their hearts up, and trying to create more of themselves. There's about a 1/10th chance that a victim will spawn a new one. They are characterized by being bone-white typically, and come in types such as lions and other predatory animals.

Undead: Typically unkillable enemies of Blade, the Undead have proven to be surprisingly fragile lately. They tend to show up in the forms of bugs, and other major formats. Just go nuts with these guys.

Makamou: The enemies of Hibiki, for this purpose we will go with the GIANT ENEMY CRABS that appear in the Decade series. Just overly large crab battles. They can be found menacing buildings and such.

Worms: For the purpose of the event, the enemies of Kabuto will be unmolted and in their larvae state which resemble large green pillbugs. In this state, they are incapable of Clock Up which moves them at near lightspeed. If you're a speedster, please by all means molt your enemies.

Imagin: We'll be going with Mole Imagin for this event, which resemble metallic moles with digging claws and a blade on the other hand. They will simply be rampaging instead of making contracts with people to fly into the past.

Fangire: Energy vampires from Kiva who are often found preying on their victims with "fangs" that materialize out of the air. There's a couple of notable ones, the Moose Fangire and the Rat Fangire, stronger enemies of the Riders.

That should cover it for the enemies. As noted, you do not have to be superpowered to deal with these monsters. A lot of them, especially Ryuki's enemies and Shocker Combatmen are very much able to be defeated with martial arts and/or firearms. Even creative thinking can defeat many of these opponents.

The event will end with the Riders dealing a finishing blow to Shocker's plans, (for now) on the 14th with a post from Kaitou. From which point there will be a long break from Decade canon updates since this series is known for back to back Rider Wars.

Players are encouraged to make posts talking to people who aren't affected, who are, which worlds are being flooded with Kaijin of all kinds, and just have a blast. It's long-running so there should be enough time for everyone to have some fun, kill some monsters, and/or provide safe havens for those who aren't able to defend themselves.

Again, the event is running from the 7th to the 11th which is an entire week. Much like the Buffy S5 event of last year, this has connected your world to Tsukasa's Home World and basically has opened the floodgates to weird stuff.

Feel free to use this page to plot out things as well!

Bodyswap Plot Post!
Hey guys! We've got the Bodyswap virus coming up this weekend on August 17th-19th! It's a pretty simple virus and it goes a little something like this: Characters will switch bodies with another character in the game. The only thing that they switch is their bodies! The bodies will stay in their original worlds too, so good luck with that.

Basically: Character A goes to Character B's body (and world), then Character B will be in Character A's body (and world).

That said, this post is for figuring out potential shenanigans and deciding/declaring your partner! There are only single person-to-person bodyswaps, not a mess of A > B > X > G > W > A + X > Z... that gets really confusing for everyone involved. Your two options are either plotting out who you want to be partners with or clicking HERE to get a randomized partner! I will put reminders up and the finalized random list will be posted at 11:59PM EST on August 16th.

Special Note: Worldhop devices and other possessions will stay with the body, but a reminder that if your character is less than honorable and would totally steal something you need to get permission from the mun you're swapping with beforehand. Same goes with intentionally getting weird tattoos, streaking, or any other shenanigans your character might end up tormenting whoever's body they end up with.

Alright, that's it! Good luck and have fun preparing!

SPECIAL EVENT!!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know about a special event that's going to be happening during the time of Obon! On August 13, a special broadcast will be made by a creature called a Candleroid. He looks like this. Essentially, all those accessing the community at that time will have their screen/rag/book/whatever they access with overridden by this guy's image.

When someone looks into the Candleroid's flame, they get hypnotized by the fire and fall into a nightmare. For the community, this nightmare will be shared by all. During the nightmare, any fears that your character has will manifest. Afraid of spiders? Suddenly your character is being chased by a hundred of them like that scene in Harry Potter. Maybe an irrational fear of wide open spaces? Wow the setting appears to have revealed a giant field with nothing around for miles. Of course, if spider-fear character runs into open-space-fear character, suddenly that field might get flooded with spiders. At least there's plenty of space to run.

Because this may deal with many phobias, during the log we will require that you state any specific phobias in the subject line of the comment. If a new one appears, do the same thing. That way no one takes a dump in anyone's noodles and we're all happy-dappy with having funtastic fear-induced panic.

Injuries can be sustained in the nightmare and can show up in reality once the nightmare is over, but death will not occur because of the nightmare. So for example, say Character A gets bit by a zombie on their arm. When they wake up after the event is over, there'll be bruises from a bite mark on their arm. They won't be a zombie though, don't worry.

The log for this event will go up on August 13th and because it is a canon-based event, the event will end with the Go-Busters defeating the candleroid and turning everything back to normal. You may go ahead and use this post to discuss potential fears that you'd like to explore and work together to come up with some fun ideas. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy!

Wreck-It Ducks Details & Plot Post
VIRUS: Wreck-it Ducks
DATES: August 4-7, 2013

This virus is inspired by Wreck-It Ralph. Each canon or "world" will have a specific video game type that the players agree upon and the world will be transformed into something like that. It can be inspired by the original canon or just whatever the hell you guys want to do. All of the worlds involved in the virus will be connected through a surge protector, so no one will need worldhops to any virus-influenced worlds.

If your character is a lone canon warrior, you may choose to do your own thing. If your character has been living in another canon's world for a long period of time with or without castmates, you may choose to either join that canon's game-type, the character's own canon's game type, or not have the character influenced by the virus but still be stuck smack dab in the middle of that canon's video game version.
This virus is done within canons, so the worlds for each cast must be a single video game type. For example, Natsume Yuujinchou's cast could be a horror video game where you have to complete a task to keep from getting eaten by ghosts or the Fate/ crew could all be a turn-based RPG and have to wait for their attack bars to fill up before they can do anything. It's up to you, but it must be decided with your castmates which game style your character's canon's world becomes.

Bare in mind that this should go along with typical video game types-- race games, shooters, turn-based RPG, fighting games, dance-style games-- any type as long as it's an existing type, please don't make up your own. If you're not sure if it's really a general type, try to figure out at least three games that fit that style and grab what they have in common.

So for example: Para Para Paradise, Dance Dance Revolution, and Pump It Up are all dance-style dance games. Your characters could all be dressed in clothes based on the song they're dancing to at the time and can only move their legs in four directions or something like that-- it's pretty general, so feel free to get creative in the style that you choose. You can also use your canon to influence the style. So say the Ace Attorney world went the dance-style route. Klavier could use his rock star charisma and hair flips during his 4-step dance routines. Woohoo! (Yes I am just picking things off of the taken list for examples.)

Since all the affected worlds will be connected during this virus, you won't need worldhops and will be able to run over to another world's game type. The character would still stay in their AU video game version of their canon, but would cross over into the other canon's game space. So DDR!Klavier could 4-step his way into the Natsume family's haunted mansion shitfest and still stomp to the beat at some very confused spirits.

If you're still not sure or have other questions, go ahead and ask here. For now, please use this post to plot as much as you like!

Simon Says Plot Post
It may be the dead of night right now for some of you, but since the Simon Says virus starts in less than a week, I figured I'd put this up so everyone has plenty of time to find partners for their characters!

In the Simon Says virus, each character will get paired up with a partner and one half of that pair has complete control over the other. Anything Character A says Character B has to do, they have to do it. Resistance can happen, but is ultimately futile. (Make sure to communicate OOCly with your character's partner's mun for questionable things!) Character A will start getting severely sick, mentally or physically, if they're away from Character B though so be careful not to scare your partner away! (or maybe just Simon Says them into staying-- whatever works).

Feel free to use this post to talk to other muns, make plans, find partners, or even list specific things that you want your characters to go through to see if anyone would be willing to be your character's partner for that specific reason! The Simon Says virus will take place July 28th-30th. If you have any questions, comment here and one of the mods will get back to you ASAP!

xDere Virus Details & Plotting
Hey guys! Sorry this is like a day late but I got all confused on what day it was (seriously, all of my homework is dated wrong it's horrible). So here's the skinny on the xDere virus.

This virus utilizes a number of anime-based tropes that I like to affectionately call the "Dere Family." Dere itself is a shortened version of the Japanese otomatopoeia デレデレ ( dere dere ) that essentially correlates to "lovey dovey." So yes, this is a love-based virus. In this virus, your character will harbor feelings of affection for another character in the game that they may not normally have, but here's the catch: There are specific ways they'll end up showing them. There re a number of dere types, and here's a list of some of the most commonly known ones:
    Tsundere
This type of dere is one of the staples tropes of the anime world. Tsundere characters are rough on the outside, acting irritable, uncooperative, and sometimes violent toward the people that they like except when they show their true colors when being intimate or shy.

    Yandere
This type of person can get a bit dangerous. Yandere characters are sweet on the outside, then possessive, controlling, and occasionally murderous once they find someone they're attached to. Usually a little bit on the crazy, obsessive stalker-level side. If your character goes a bit far with this, you might want to put a warning on your post so nothing too drastic catches anyone by surprise.

    Kuudere
Cold, distant type. Once they open up and accept someone, it can get very affectionate, but it's pretty hard to get in in the first place.

    Dandere
This type of person is extremely shy. They might be the quiet library girl type or the person who just doesn't speak up in a group. They've got a lot to say and are very in their heads, which becomes apparent when they finally open up their hearts to someone.

    Himedere/Kamidere
This is the type of person who's naturally haughty because they treat themselves like a god/goddess/princess/queen, etc. They're better than everyone else-- you know, unless you embarrass them or they've got feelings for you, then there's cute stuttering and real emotions. Kamidere is the more extreme level, but both tend to act as though others should serve them.

    Deredere
A form of pure dere. They act lovey-dovey, sweet, and energetic all the time. There's no stopping their love from pouring down from the heavens!
There might be other types of dere characters that I've missed. If you feel like there's something I should add on here, please reply to this comment to let me know (or ask any other questions)! Otherwise, feel free to use this post to plot out who your character is going to be dere for, what type of dere, or anything else you want to set up for this virus! This virus will occur on March 7-8.

Heads Up: Get ready to Samba!
Hey guys! Guess what's coming up this Sunday? It's the Mushroom Samba virus! So what's that about huh? Essentially, your character's going to start hallucinating something crazy. Whether it's thinking that their buddy just got a fiber-optics afro or the walls start singing hymns in Dutch to them, it's some wacked out stuff. If you've seen Avatar, think Cactus Juice. If you're more of a Heroes fan, think of Ando's little "It's like swimming but inside out!" situation. Remember: Anything/everything they see is a hallucination, so it's not actually there by community magic or anything.

If you need to plot, go ahead and use this post! This virus will happen on February 24-25th. Any questions for the moderators, go ahead and reply to this comment so that I can get you taken care of ASAP.

WINTER VIRUS: And the winner is...
Attack of the Deranged Killer Mutant Monster Snow Goons! is our winning winter virus! (Original description.)

So what does that mean? Snow for everyone, climate-support or not. If it'd normally be raining? It's snowing. If you live in the middle of the desert in the middle of the summer? It's snowing. If you live too far below ocean level for it to snow, it's still snowing! No other consequences to that except for snow, just go have fun in it-- for the first day.

If your character built a snowman/snowoman/snowchihuahua/snowanything, then the next day it will come to life, super pissed and super indestructible like a killer army of, well, psychotic snow monsters. No, you can't warm their hearts with a hot island song, and yes, they are multiplying by building buddies.

This virus will last from December 17th to December 19th, so you've got a full three days of icy terror! Details about the New Years Party will be released toward the end of the virus or right after. That said, it's a pretty open virus, so good luck, good fun, happy holidays, and use this post to plot or ask questions!

PLOTTING POST - COLLEGE!AU
Duckworth University (DwU) is a university with a frankly ridiculously huge campus surrounded by a comfortable college town. It has every facility you can think of somewhere, and probably a few you can't think of yet too. The classes are wide and varied to say the least - what do your professor characters teach, again? What are your student characters majoring in? What classes have they managed to sign up for?

Any questions can be left here, for the sake of keeping this post tidy-ish, or asked directly to the mods. (Any questions about how American colleges (the system that forms the basis for college AUs, and therefore this virus) work can be directed mostly at our American mods. :'3 Google might be your friend on this one, but there won't be a test on perfect knowledge of the American education system or anything.) Suffice to say, you've got a lot of freedom with characters signing up for crazy off-major classes, especially if they're first-years. Teachers and students both feel free to be normal and play creative, however you want to do it.

At any rate! Dorms come in double, single, and a few triples. If you want to be randomised with a roommate, put your character in the thread below, and I'll put up a list on Friday so you can plot over the weekend. You're welcome to shove characters together yourselves if you want specific combinations, of course. Characters can have applied to be put together/in a single for IC reasons, but of course we live to subvert their hopes and dreams. Second-years and above have the choice to live off-campus in a house with some other characters, if you want to break into small groups to go that route, or the characters could be commuting from home if you prefer, but the dorms are open to students of all ages.

Societies, sports, and clubs are also up for grabs. Students can run them, so don't worry about finding a player-character Professor to lead, but if a teacher mun wants to set one up or sign on to be the club's staff liaison that's cool too. Set up a thread here for people to sign up with. (At my university there is literally a "Pirate Society" where all they do is get drunk, watch pirate themed movies, have a rule where all members have to talk like a pirate at all times during meetings, and LARP crazy pirate stuff once a month. That's the kind of baseline for a club we're looking at here.) You can also set up a frat or a sorority if your character is the sort of rich little shit who'd be in one, etc etc.

Remember, we're going to be coming in several months into the first semester of the year, here. Plot some CR from those months, or from previous years together!

Once again, this is going to take place from Monday 19th to Friday 30th, so you've got the better part of this week to plan.

Halloween Event: GO!
Happy Halloween! That's right, it's that time of the year again. We all get to RP while hopped up on ridiculous amounts of sugar and the weird odors of cheapo Halloween makeup and fog machines. Or just the sugar, whichever. This year though? DDD is going to do an event based on an Irish tradition for Halloween!

In Ireland, there is a traditional cake that is given out on Halloween called the Barmbrack. The Barmbrack is a sweet fruit bread that is used as a fortune telling game on Halloween. The barmbrack would be baked with a pea, a stick, a piece of cloth, a small coin, and a ring within it. When you receive the item in a slice, they mean different things.

So every character in DDD will receive a slice of Halloween barmback (and maybe a costume for fun) with the different items in it, except instead of the traditional meanings, the community translates the prizes into something much more mischevious. Here are the original meanings:

Pea: No marriage this year.
Stick: Either an unhappy marriage or constantly get into disputes.
Cloth: Constant bad luck/be poor.
Coin: Good fortune/will get rich.
Ring: Going to get married within the year.

So what happens when you get one from the community?

Pea: Your character is suddenly incredibly lonely, wants to get married so is trying really hard to get a date with anyone/if they have a bf/gf will try to propose whether they're ready or not. Might go shopping for wedding clothes, etc.

Stick: Start picking fights with everyone they talk to.

Cloth: Supreme bad luck. Tripping all over everything, getting fired, losing their money, run over by a bike, etc.

Coin: Suddenly good luck everywhere. Maybe win the lottery, get lucky and find that missing earring they've been looking for for two weeks, whatever's lucky to them.

Ring: Suddenly actually engaged to someone else in the community who received a ring. Start acting like new fiances immediately.

Simple to do and lots of fun! Happy Halloween everyone, feel free to use this post to plot your hearts out and remember: If you don't want to participate, just say your character never found the bread or didn't break it open. They do not have to actually eat the bread to participate-- just break it open and reveal what's inside (which could happen even while throwing it away). So if your character's already wary about eating community presents, there's your work around. This event takes place on October 29th-31st. Have fun!

Once More With Feeling: Plotting/Announcement
Hey guys! So Buffy is coming up on a canon update soon and I got mod approval to have it be a community-wide event for her canon move for Once More With Feeling.

For those of you who aren't familiar with Once More With Feeling, it's a musical episode. Basically, a demon named Sweet comes to Sunnydale after being summoned and suddenly everyone starts breaking out into song and dance based on their mood and inner feelings, regardless of whether they want to say them out loud or not. Good demon, bringing the fun and song in right? Well, if it goes on for too long for one person they end up with a bad case of spontaneous combustion.

For the event here, however, spontaneous combustion won't be a factor because Sweet's spell is being amplified by the community. Also you can write original songs for this, but you don't have to because I know not everyone is a genius songwriter: you can use any song in existence as long as it conveys your characters feelings-- either at the time, or hidden ones. If your character is secretly in love with someone, they might end up singing a ballad to them. If your character spilled coffee in their lap, they might start singing about how hot it is.

(There's also a musical explanation of this if you want it.)

Anyway, so the event will take place August 31st through September 2nd. Feel free to use this post for plots, excitement, whatever you want!

PLOTTING POST
It's plotting time, everyone!

Shortly, Yayoi ([personal profile] pikapikapikarin) is going to make a post, and from there, Kano and Kyousuke ([personal profile] ifbymyhands and [personal profile] baaaaseball) are going to inadvertently obtain the combination to access the Mysterious Library, Yayoi's canon worldhop device. Now, these two doing most everything for the lulz, they decide to use their newfound power irresponsibly and run around joyriding across worlds trolling people and having fun.

This is where you come in! Post here if you'd like them to gatecrash your character's world. The plot will begin Tuesday and maybe last a day or two at the most after that, though we backtag like all get out, especially me. After that, they're getting a stern talking-to by a bunch of moe magical girls not to do this again.

Go forth and we shall plot!

Looks like I failed at keeping a hiatus, so I'm back. ....At least for now.

To make a long story short, we've run into a bunch of problems that prevents us from moving at the duplex, but we are still gonna move. It just seems it won't be anytime soon. When we really do start moving and not have access to the internet for a while, then I'll go a mini-hiatus. It shouldn't be long, I promise. I apologize to the mods, I suck at timing, especially when I don't have much information to go on.

Anyway, here's the last plot post for the upcoming canon move next Saturday. Details are here .

Semi-late planning post #3
I apologize for the lateness of this one. I didn't want to keep spamming the OOC comm with planning posts, plus I've been busy, but it has slowed down a little for a while. Things will pick up soon enough when we have to start house work on the house we're moving to on June 1st. I'll let you know if I need to upgrade on a full hiatus. This month and the beginning of next month will be a busy one for me.

Anyway, this is another sign up post for his upcoming canon update on June 23rd. You can find details here .

Event?
HI GUYS. Okay, so like. Buffy's coming up on the end of season five and there's this thing that happens where the walls between worlds start crumbling down because lol whoops. It only lasts for like a minute, but basically it's a full minute of a shitton of universes all starting to bleed into each other and since all of the universes are def' separated in this game, I asked the mods if we could make an event out of this. (Details within that link so I don't tl;dr at you guys.)

SO. Who wants to bleed into each other's worlds HUH? :'D

EDIT FOR MORE INFO: Just for a description of how this canonly happens, it's kind of like giant holes being ripped into the sky, the ground cracking, worlds coming out of other walls, you can pass into each others' worlds freely but they won't integrate (because it really doesn't last long enough for everything to integrate). Buffy does find out beforehand that it might happen so she will be warning everyone, so there'll be time for IC prep if your character wants to. (Like a day or two.) It's kind of a scary thing though, so if you're not prepared it might look like the end of the world. (And technically, for a lot of worlds, it would be.)

08 April 2012 @ 10:49 am
a wild mini-plot appears!
Hey, guys! What's up? I am here to bring you a very uneventful mini-plot of sorts, because Shijima is a very bored cat during big gaps of no involvement in her canon. Pretty much, she's a very curious old lady and she likes to investigate things thoroughly on her own, so she's going to go on a big world travelling adventure! She'll get various worldhops that I'll handwave, because she would ask literally anyone and she would always ask as "Shijima"...

... but she's going to be exploring as a cat instead! So, pretty much all I'm asking is for volunteer worlds that she can visit, and what significant things she might find there.

In return, a whole bunch of characters will be noticing a weird white cat around, possibly in worlds where there should not be cats. If they approach the cat, it might seem a little... more intelligent than it should be. (She'll laugh at them. In a weird cat way.) Also of note: she'll probably do things like break into houses and steal food, so everyone is free to complain about said cat robbing them or sleeping in their laundry or something. She's very rude tbh.

That's all it is! There's no specific order for who she'd visit or when, she'll go all over the place, so don't worry about sticking to a schedule. She's in a certain world whenever you want her to be; characters can either mention having seen her before, or talk about her currently being there. She's going to start moving this week, so people might start noticing her towards the middle of the week or something, and it'll keep going until she gets bored!

So. Volunteer worlds for the little old cat?

(also have a happy easter everyone!! ♥)
