Bodyswap Plot Post!

Hey guys! We've got the Bodyswap virus coming up this weekend on August 17th-19th! It's a pretty simple virus and it goes a little something like this: Characters will switch bodies with another character in the game. The only thing that they switch is their bodies! The bodies will stay in their original worlds too, so good luck with that.

Basically: Character A goes to Character B's body (and world), then Character B will be in Character A's body (and world).

That said, this post is for figuring out potential shenanigans and deciding/declaring your partner! There are only single person-to-person bodyswaps, not a mess of A > B > X > G > W > A + X > Z... that gets really confusing for everyone involved. Your two options are either plotting out who you want to be partners with or clicking HERE to get a randomized partner! I will put reminders up and the finalized random list will be posted at 11:59PM EST on August 16th.

Special Note: Worldhop devices and other possessions will stay with the body, but a reminder that if your character is less than honorable and would totally steal something you need to get permission from the mun you're swapping with beforehand. Same goes with intentionally getting weird tattoos, streaking, or any other shenanigans your character might end up tormenting whoever's body they end up with.

*Kanna is actually an eroge actress and this could get really fucking embarrassing and your character may have to go to work for her or at least practice after school so please make sure to keep that in mind if you wanna switch with Kanna. I'll tell you more if you're interested though.

LYDIA CARLTON
*Lydia can see fairies, so your character will be able to see fairies for the duration of the event! -- Uh, tentative though it depends on if we canon move to get her out of being stuck before the event. (I think we were going to? Nikki??)

TAKASHI NATSUME TAKEN
*Takashi can see spirits/youkai/ayakashi/all sorts of weird shit. If you swap with him you will have possession of the Book of Friends and I will not be willing to swap him with anyone that would put the Book in danger of getting damaged.. otherwise anyone is okay. Also there's a 99% chance that something will try to eat your character at least once if they swap with him 8'D He'll be super nice and won't torment your character though so that's a plus for your character??

YURI "YURIPPE" NAKAMURA TAKEN
*Can't stay hurt/dead so if your character wants to feel what it's like to get killed or anything that could be some fun since they'd just wake up like normal afterward.. except maybe be traumatized since they're probably not used to it like Yurippe is. Otherwise pretty much anything is fair game. Though she'll more than likely play life ruiner in funny ways with your character's body. Your character is almost guaranteed to get a tattoo or a funky hair cut / color or god knows what else if you swap with her..

Tsubomi Hanasaki:
- Right now, she's in the middle of preparing for a massive school festival with her trying to make outfits for the people participating. And they're probably more used to Tsubomi's stammering and stuttering as well as her love for flowers.

Gai Ikari:
- WHO WANTS TO BE A POWER RANGER... er, SUPER SENTAI!? AND A PIRATE OF SORTS! That's what Gai is. Fight evil taking up the form of nearly 200 heroes from 35 years of costumed hero madnesss!

Ellen Kurokawa:
- Another magical girl like Tsubomi. Right now, she's stuck in the Go-Busters world because her mun forgot to send her back after the event before last of stuff.

NOTE: Because of established rules in Fresh Precure and Smile Precure, if you swap with Tsubomi or Ellen, you CANNOT become a Precure just because you're in their body. Those devices are smart enough to realize that. On the other hand, it doesn't matter what body they're in, Tsubomi and Ellen CAN transform in YOUR bodies. However, using the Gokai Cellular and the Ranger Keys is fair game. As long as Gai or Marvelous doesn't find you.

Mai Taniyama
Mai's 18 and just starting classes at uni, on top of training with Madoka for ghost hunting stuff. She's an empathic psychic which we can get into more if you'd like to switch with her!

Izumi Orimoto
Izumi is thirteen years old, living with her parents in Japan. Her mother is Japanese and her father is Italian. She goes to school and hangs out with her friends. Recently she's been given back her Digivice so that she can transform into Fairymon and Shutumon.

Sophie Hatter
Sophie is currently cursed to be an 80-year-old woman. She's living in a moving castle that runs on fire demon power. Her castlemates are a vain and dramatic wizard and a young male student of his. Oh, and the aforementioned fire demon.

Riley Poole
Very normal in comparison to my other characters. He's recently come into some money though if you're interested.

Kanade Otsuka
High school student with the ability to see a person's future if she touches them. The ability is sporadic and she doesn't have control over it. We can talk more if you're interested!

Stanley is a little hobo midget living in nineties Central Park. Swap with him and you get a cave (filled with flowers) all to yourself, free reign of Central Park (also filled with flowers), and almost instinctive use of the Green Thumb. Which can be used to fill areas with flowers.

Stanley himself is up for slice of life shenanigans and he is cheerful and sociable, so depending on your character he may end up doing a good job of imitating you - if you are cheeful and sociable. He is, however, cowardly and awful at combat, so if you have any fighting scheduled (this includes castmates getting into scraps) then do nto switch with him.

Kirby is an alien living on an alien planet that is surprisingly a lot like Earth. His body grants a big appetite, inherent flight (just like a balloon), being able to literally vacuum up things in front of him, and access to Copy Ability, which can let your character have the chance to play superhero. Also, you ARE able to speak while in Kirby's body (it will be high-pitched and childlike), it's just Kirby himself that isn't yet able to talk properly.

Kirby will flail about trying to get used to a humanoid body at first, but he'll get the hang of it. He will NOT be able to speak (think carefully about this one!) but he is no stranger to combat and can and will fight once he figures things out. This is who you want if your character's body is going to see battle. Or if you have a worldhop (or someone who acts as one) you can be a superhero for the virus' duration.

SCREAMS AT TOP OF LUNGS okay so Minatsuki and Alviss are up for grabs as always; anyone with Minatsuki's body will find themselves in prison, and if they bleed, they can turn their blood into a weapon; anyone with Alviss' body in MÄR Heaven will probably notice the red tattoos that cover his whole body, what's up with that, and they can use his various ÄRM.

i'm basically dying to get someone to switch with Yuugi, because Yami... will still be in that body. and they're only just about to reach the point where they can talk to each other and see each other (and in fact i'm saying it happens just as the bodyswap virus starts), and Yami will be furious and overprotective when he finds a soul in Yuugi's body that isn't actually his partner. whoever is in Yuugi's body will be woken up by a very angry spirit demanding to know where his partner is and then he will just sulk in the back of their head for days. come on. u know u want this.

All right, I'm leaving out Kendrix due to reasons and Jin due to the extreme guilt he'd feel leaving anybody trapped in Hyperspace in his body, so...

Artemis: Super-athletic 15-year-old girl who also fights crime with a bow and arrow. She doesn't know it, but the Justice League is scouting her out to join a covert team of teenagers with attitude. However, potential trigger warning: Her father (who no longer lives with her and her mom) is emotionally abusive and put her through training from hell at a young age. Her older sister ran away from home. Her mother is an ex-con (former villain Huntress) who is now in a wheelchair after her final heist--her husband let her take the fall, literally and figuratively.

Ren: Kamen Rider from a world where you've got to fight and kill monsters within the mirror in order not to get eaten by your own monster. His is a giant bat named Darkwing (get the duck jokes out of your system now). Any more questions, ask Shinji Kido, and please feel free to ruin Ren's cool reputation.

Miharu: Kamen Rider from a world where...uh, it's the future? And there are monsters in the water? He was a movie character, so they didn't explore his timeline a whole lot. Oh, and he can't swim. You've got some good chances to be badass with this if you want, if a monster throws "Miharu" in the water and then suddenly, he's Michael Phelps.

Aqua: To be perfectly honest, I don't think the Keyblade will work for anyone other than the heart it belongs to. But you would have access to some pretty awesome magical powers and huge...yeah.

Roze - Has a child and a very busy schedule. Aside from the usual boring grown up things, there's not a lot to do here. Best for someone looking to make their character find out what being a very responsible adult would be like or looking to have them find out what it's likee having a kid, I guess. Edgar The adonis of the world because the sun can't shine as brightly and birds stop to sing whenever he's near. (XD The graphic novel is so funny about playing that up). But seriously, super rich earl with the reputation of being a little of a womanizer. There's also a man after him but he should be pretty safe for now.

Also a little bit of a troll so if anybody wants to declare war with the bodies, he's a good one to do it to.

Salsa here, with four brilliant options; I'm thinking Kai's going to be busy, so he's not for sale just now. Please comment to this tag, I'm going to be like the other cool kids and leave a status comment after.

Rita Mordio: Tsundere mage with a penchant for burning things. Anyone in possession of this body could theoretically cast artes, as the bodhi blastia around Rita's neck will stay with her body, and she keeps arte notes on her person. Do try not to overexert yourself, Rita's body isn't made for physical stress.

Itsuki Myoudouin: Overworked martial-artist student council president. A character in Itsuki's body can't become a Precure, unfortunately, though they can stare at her Heart Perfume all they like. They will also find themselves swamped with work, as the school festival is coming up on top of Precure business that is suddenly not getting done.

Kanade Minamino: Pastry Cupcake chef with a serious complex over her best friend. A character in Kanade's body can't become a Precure, though they'll still have her Heart Tone Key to try and make heads or tails of and/or attempt to use as a flute. Things will likely be loud, as Kanade's house shares a building with her parents' pastry shop, the Lucky Spoon. You are welcome to try baking, but expect to be laughed at if you fail.

Chrono Harlaown: Officer in the space police with a stick in the wrong place. A character in Chrono's body can use magic and will have access to S2U; however, they'd have to either know his spell list or be able to work things out themselves, as S2U isn't an Intelligent Device and can't help. Note that Chrono's still living on the Asura in high Earth orbit with his mother, so, uh... yeah. Have fun with that.

* Your character gets water powers, and a massive customized sitar! In addition, they can worldhop, but leaving that sweet black coat on is highly recommended as it can corrupt unshielded hearts.
* Did I mention he doesn't have one of those? (Think memory/soul/emotion, not organ.) Whether that goes with him or not is up for discussion, canon has plenty of merges and body snatchings but not actual swaps.
* His current world is kind of a depressing place. Beware the coworkers.
* His partner's body will be safe- he's not going to go out of his way to mess it up, and prefers to avoid conflict and fighting.

Lancer: So you character gets to be a Servant living in Victorian London with all kinds of funky abilities. Klavier Gavin: Prosecutor extrodinaire. You'll get to live the high life in his body...Klavier has an amazing house, but don't expect to find much in his refrigerator. Also if you're in his body you'll have to take care of it...and his pets. The last time this happened Envy took very poor care of his dog, Vongole, and he was not pleased. He has three fish, a turtle, and a sugar glider as well. You might want to use all of his sick days on this one because...heh...accomplished prosecutor? Unless your up for the task.

Yuri Tsukikage: That one magical girl that actually made it to high school. Canon is pretty contradictory on whether or not anyone stuck in her body would be able to change into a Precure (Fresh Precure says yes, Smile Precure says no). Either way is fine with me, though. She lives alone with her mom in an apartment complex.

Setsuna Higashi: 'Totally ordinary fourteen year old girl'. She lives in a pretty huge mansion in the middle of a forest, just outside of Clover Town. There's a few things in that mansion that definitely aren't normal, so that's something to talk over first, especially if you're not familiar with her canon. In the way of powers, Setsuna can change her appearance into Eas where she has some powers, but actually changing like that isn't something you can really do by accident, so this likely won't come up at all.

Impmon: Tiny little imp Digimon. He's basically homeless, hanging out in a park in Shinjuku most of the time. He can shoot fireballs though, so there's that, but he's pretty weak overall.

Yoshika Miyafuji: A 14 year old -soon to be 15 canon-wise in a few days; her birthday's listed as August 18th- girl who's positive about a lot of things, save for the war against the Neuroi back in her world that took her father away but she's determined to fulfill a promise she made to him - that she'll use her magical powers as a member of the Strike Witches to protect everyone! Her powers are mostly healing until she gets up in the air and can generate a very powerful shield that's 10 times bigger than all her fellow Witches'!

- she looks like a young teenage girl, and she doesn't really have a physical body, per se. It's more like something she manifests, so characters who aren't used to that might end up randomly disappearing and reappearing.
- she basically has godmod powers over possibilities, meaning that she can make anything happen as long as the chance of it occurring is higher than 0%. Yes, that includes things with a 0.00000000001% chance and so forth, add as many zeros as you want.
- she can also turn into a cat.
- if your character is planning on doing awful/embarrassing things to/with her body, be prepared for a highly disproportionate amount of awful/embarrassing things happening to/with their body :')
