VIRUS: Wreck-it Ducks
DATES: August 4-7, 2013
This virus is inspired by Wreck-It Ralph. Each canon or "world" will have a specific video game type that the players agree upon and the world will be transformed into something like that. It can be inspired by the original canon or just whatever the hell you guys want to do. All of the worlds involved in the virus will be connected through a surge protector, so no one will need worldhops to any virus-influenced worlds.
If your character is a lone canon warrior, you may choose to do your own thing. If your character has been living in another canon's world for a long period of time with or without castmates, you may choose to either join that canon's game-type, the character's own canon's game type, or not have the character influenced by the virus but still be stuck smack dab in the middle of that canon's video game version.
This virus is done within canons, so the worlds for each cast must be a single video game type. For example, Natsume Yuujinchou's cast could be a horror video game where you have to complete a task to keep from getting eaten by ghosts or the Fate/ crew could all be a turn-based RPG and have to wait for their attack bars to fill up before they can do anything. It's up to you, but it must be decided with your castmates which game style your character's canon's world becomes.
Bare in mind that this should go along with typical video game types-- race games, shooters, turn-based RPG, fighting games, dance-style games-- any type as long as it's an existing type, please don't make up your own. If you're not sure if it's really a general type, try to figure out at least three games that fit that style and grab what they have in common.
So for example: Para Para Paradise, Dance Dance Revolution, and Pump It Up are all dance-style dance games. Your characters could all be dressed in clothes based on the song they're dancing to at the time and can only move their legs in four directions or something like that-- it's pretty general, so feel free to get creative in the style that you choose. You can also use your canon to influence the style. So say the Ace Attorney world went the dance-style route. Klavier could use his rock star charisma and hair flips during his 4-step dance routines. Woohoo! (Yes I am just picking things off of the taken list for examples.)
Since all the affected worlds will be connected during this virus, you won't need worldhops and will be able to run over to another world's game type. The character would still stay in their AU video game version of their canon, but would cross over into the other canon's game space. So DDR!Klavier could 4-step his way into the Natsume family's haunted mansion shitfest and still stomp to the beat at some very confused spirits.
If you're still not sure or have other questions, go ahead and ask here. For now, please use this post to plot as much as you like!
