possible slowatus!

Starting tomorrow I'm going to be very busy preparing to go away for one of my sister's overnight horse shows! We're leaving on Friday and will be back on Sunday, and I'm not sure how much time/internet access I'll have until then. This means thaaaat:

1) any virus tags/replies may be slow, but I'll backdate forever so
2) the backlog of tags I accumulated during LJ's downtime will take a little longer to get through, so if I still owe you something I'm sorry 8(
3) the FA/RL will likely be late (unless CND wants to pick that up this week?); if I don't have good net access at our hotel, I'll do it on Monday

That's so cool. I haven't been to a horsey thing since I got to Indiana. :D

They're really fun! I've only recently started going to them regularly (I'm our family's resident photographer :P). This is the first time I'll be watching a two-day one too, but it won't be my sister's first time competing in one because she went to the nationals last year.

Nationals, now I'm really jealous. :D

ME TOO. I wish I could have gone to watch, but I had school. 8(

Sadly. ;; If she had decided to go to the ones in Georgia this year, though, I definitely would have tried to go! ... And not only because I've never been to Georgia, either. XD

I like Savannah, though Atlanta creeped me out when we went there for a weekend.

I'm not really good in big cities. The only place I felt 'safe' was in the big cemetery there.

Ahhh yeah, sometimes I can be the same way about cities myself. I've never lived in one, so.

I lived 30 miles north of Orlando for about ten years, so I was always in and around and down there, but Orlando doesn't feel like a big city. Miami, well, I rarely left the hotels when I was there. Savannah was really nice, though; I would happily live there. Especially if I could live on one of the squares.

Town squares are always cool!

Savannah has LOTS of them. The whole Old Section of town is set on squares with gardens in the center of them.

My friends and I were eyeballing an apartment there that was three stories (a floor for each of us!) with another basement apartment below it. The price wasn't all that bad, either.

Of course, that around December, 2003. I haven't been back since.

Clearly I need to move there 8(

We thought maybe we'd retire there...since we've only got about fifteen years to go 'til that happens. XD Or when we get to be famous authors, whichever comes first.
