de-hiatus + A MODLY GIFT
Hello, DDDarlings! Firstly, I'm off hiatus, so expect to see me around a lot more now that I'm not bogged down with work. Drinks all around, I love everyone in this bar, etc.
Now onto a slightly more modly(???) matter: I have a gift for everyone. Some of you may remember it. It is called DDD PROMPTS, and it's making a triumphant return!
For those of you who have never heard of it or need a refresher on what's up, check out the stuff below this cut; for everyone who is an old pro at this, jump down to the bottom for a link to the shiny new community!
What the heck is DDD Prompts?
That's really a very brief overview, so PLEASE CHECK OUT THE FAQ FOR MORE DETAILS. Other than that, head over to
idddeas and get your creative engines started! If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on this post, and I'll answer them ASAP!

What the heck is DDD Prompts?
Way back at the start of 2009, a community came into existence called DDD Prompts. It was a writing exercise - pretty much just one of those prompt tables where you have a table with a bunch of words, you pick a word, write something for it and share it until you have done every word. But for DDD!Okay, cool. But what do I do?
Simple! Check out the prompt tables I've put up, then pick one you like and choose the character/subject you want to use the table for. Whenever you want, you look at the words on your prompt table and write/draw/create something for one of them. Do that at your own leisure until you've written/drawn/created something for every word, and then... do another table, if you want!Is this a challenge? Am I on a schedule?
No, and no! This is a creative exercise for fun, doofus. You write/draw/etc. whenever you want - you're free to use it as a challenge if you like, to try and push through writer's block or for whatever other reason! But it's all for fun.So how do I start?
Glad to have you on board! First, check out the thorough FAQ. Then, head over here to check out the prompt tables. When you see one you like, drop a comment there to claim your character/subject and table! (More than one person can do the same subject, it is not some strict single claim system.) After that, you can write! Go! Fight! Win!Wait a second, I'm still confused.
No worries! Check out the old DDD Prompts community over atIs this mandatory?ddd_prompts to see how it works, and if you're still lost, just ask me about it!
Absolutely, yes. If you don't begin immediately, I will personally remove you from the game and you will be banned for life. This runs in conjunction to Activity Check, so if you haven't posted a prompt fill in two months, you'll be dropped.
KIDDING. I'm kidding. No, it's not mandatory at all, and please don't feel obliged to do it. Like I said, this is all for fun, and it is all completely optional fun!

Thank you, Ichi!
(true fact: I use drabbles I wrote for Bourne on lj as third-person samples)
