( REMINDER: NEW ACTIVITY CHECK )
activity check changes.
Questions, concerns, anything that needs clarification - ask away!
Now that Activity Check is over, it's time to go out with the old and in with the new. Before anyone panics, this is nothing you haven't already heard! These are the same changes that were discussed at the end of February, this is just a reminder that these changes are officially in effect, and our next AC (which is in May) will have these new requirements!WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?
If you've got everything down, feel free to carry on; if you need a refresher or you have some questions, let's continue!
Our new AC requires a total of twenty (20) comments, with a minimum of two (2) threads with two (2) different characters. To break that down, it's still the good old twenty comments over two months deal. But, let me try to make the specifics as clear as possible!⇒ Two proofs. This means that you can't just link to 100+ comments in a single place and leave it at that.
⇒ Two different characters. It doesn't matter who these characters are, whether they are new or old CR, whether you thread with them frequently or not! The only requirement is that the character in Proof A is different to the character in Proof B.
⇒ A post and all comments involved will only count as one proof, no matter how many comments or threads there are on the post.
⇒ For events, in any situation where your comment is the top comment (i.e. you started an open thread), all threads attached to it are considered comments to your "post", and it works the same way as a network post (see above). But when you reply to someone else's top level comment, that's a separate thread!
⇒ Only one of your proofs can be from your own post. This includes events.
⇒ There is no limit on the amount of threads you can use to meet the comment minimum, and no minimum for the number of comments per thread! Where possible, however, we'd prefer it for proofs to at least be a little balanced; that is, not having fifty comments on one proof and two comments on the other.
