One of the great things about DDD is the incredible, funny, messed-up, and sometimes just plain BIZARRE pairings and friendships that form between the characters. Speaking of which, I've always pictured Kaito and Hakuba's relationship to be similar to Nicky and Rod from Avenue Q (Kaito = Nicky, Hakuba = Rod). 8D

Aaaah, sorry! I forgot most people don't know about Avenue Q as it is. AQ is a musical, and the best way to describe it is Sesame Street on crack. Nicky and Rod are roommates, and Nicky is the 100% straight, goofy and lovable one. Rod is the totally gay, totally crushing on his roommate, uptight business-like and boring one. They fight all the time, but they still get along. 8D They remind me of Kaito and Hakuba in some weird way, but without the unrequited crush (or with it, depending on interpretation!)

Oh I know about Sesame Street at least! XD
