Probably this is partly because it's 5:30 and I've had a really stressful month. If so, then maybe I'll take this back later. But I feel like I need to clean house, and reduce my character load, bigtime, because I can never really devote the attention to the characters I have that they deserve. So I'm dropping Tyki, Gale, and Sebastian. None of them are working out right now for various reasons, and I think having them and feeling obligated to do stuff with them is really keeping me from tagging at all.

I know this is going to disappoint a lot of people, and I'm sorry :(

This is so everybody has a fair chance to apply, and so the original player has time to reclaim their character if a mistake was made.

I've also cut my roster back a little, by dropping Claire Stanfield and Simon. Simon was always hard for me, and Claire I love playing, but I was having some trouble figuring out what to do with him lately. I may re-app him if I get inspiration back.

Gale is on IC hiatus due to having his stomach ripped out by his demon not!girlfriend at the end of his canon. The rest of my roster - Shito, Sebastian, Giriko, Stein, and Aradia - are all off hiatus and active once more, though my periodic slowness will continue until August. I am managing to keep up, mostly, though, so I decided the hiatus didn't need to continue.

Don't forget that Activity Check begins August 1st!

Well, now that I've posted activity check and discharged the last of my modly duties, I suppose there's no putting it off anymore.

It's been a wonderful two and a half years, and I thought that if I just hung on for a bit longer I could make it through and keep up with my activity, but I just don't think it's going to happen.

You see, I'm about to finish law school, and then I'll be busy with the bar exams and everything. And really, I think that it's time for me to grow up. I'll be a lawyer soon, after all. It wouldn't be wrong to say that I'm too good for this now and it's time to re-enter the real world.

The comments still visible on the hiatus post are almost all active hiatuses. Most hiatuses that no longer apply have been screened. The one exception to this is if you received a comment telling you that your hiatus has expired, in which case you'll need to reply back saying that you've returned and show proof of activity, or you'll be dropped from the game. All hiatuses that are still within their 3 month limit have been left up there. Only uncommented-to hiatuses still showing on the hiatus post apply for exemption in this Activity Check. If you returned from hiatus but haven't commented there to tell us you're back, please do so now.

Okay, I'm officially coming off of hiatus, but I'm also cutting down my load, because I really just don't have time with school to manage nine characters. Things are only going to get worse from here, but I'm hoping that I can cope with fewer characters.

It's been a very long, very difficult decision. But I've made it as best I can, and I've decided to drop Gale, Tseng, and Radu.

While I love playing all three of them, going on hiatus and letting myself bring back the ones I really had ideas for and wanted to play one at a time showed me who are the ones who are at the bottom of the list. Not muse death, just not as awake and active as the others for now.

I feel really horrible about dropping all three of these characters. I love them to death and I love the CR they've built. But I would have felt just as horrible about dropping any of my cast, and I had to make a decision or risk having to drop out of RP entirely.
