Cap’n Barbossa will be strutting around, threatening to nail assorted people to assorted parts of his ship, rolling his eyes, seeking out treasure and leering at pretty wenches/those who might look like pretty wenches in the right light. Or those whose faces can be covered. It all depends. I apologise in advance if he’s especially…charming to anybody. I also tend to write out his accent because, uh, he’s Barbossa and he be needin’ his arrrr, but I hope it’s comprehensible. 

Now, seeing as as far as I know all his canonmates are playing from a point in which he’s lying dead in a cave (gee thanks, Jack) I’m likely taking him from the end of the fourth film or…thereaboutsish, but I will attempt not to spoil and will keep things under LJ-cuts should I be obliged to make a reference to matters spoilery. Or even, hi hello I am so damn indecisive and for some reason didn't think of this before, he will be around the same time/a little after, shackin' up with Tia Dalma.  Makes things a bit clearer on several fronts. Well, that makes this entire 'entering into the community' thing auspiciously confused :/

So, it's kind of ironic that I'm doing this on the six-month anniversary of the journal being made but I think it's time I drop Aria. She's had some fantastic CR since starting here, she was my first character here and to LJRP in general but I'm just not feeling her anymore. Posting her feels like way more of an effort than it should, and I've been wavering on this for a while now. And I keep coming back to it, which makes me think it's time to let go, so:

I will finish up the couple of threads I have ongoing with her at the moment but that'll be it for her. Hopefully this will allow me to branch out with Ginny and Rose more.

It seriously kills me to write this; I've loved playing Italy (for over nearly two years! holy shit! D:) and I still do, but nine characters is just too much for me right now. I've known I was going to need to drop somebody, especially once Dumbledore came back, and Italy has been one of my weakest character voices for months.

He'll still be available for museboxing and memes, but as far as DDD goes, it's time to let him go.

We've had terrible weather here lately, resulting in a 24 hour power outage, trees falling on trains & houses and the winds are still very bad, so this is a note just in case the electricity gets knocked out again, that's why I'm slow. This affects: 11-12, Gellert, Draco, Cosmo & JJ.

And speaking of Gellert - as Dumbledore will soon be brought back as a teen, Grindelwald will be syncing up with his timeline. Which means he will be going from age 23 back to age about 16. A post for his reverting back should be up within the day after Dumbledore's return. FYI, he will retain most of his memories of DDD. The main thing he won't recall is being older, so some conversations he's had may be fuzzy and vague to him (especially those that relate to future events) and he won't remember certain things, but he'll remember you if he's met you here and relationship statuses won't likely change.

But he does have a more askew way of thinking before he met Albus so fair warning of some change in behaviour...

This is just a heads up that in about a week, there will be a hurricane off Tripoli, which will mark a major turning point for James in his canon. For ease of icons and the like, I will be moving his activity over from chapter_behind to cmdr_scruffy. Don't delete this journal, though! He'll be coming back to it after the second movie is wrapped up.

So, my life took a strange turn when I moved out of my parent's house into a house with my best friend and her husband. Strange living situation, you say? Hardly! We work together, so I see her all the time anyway and truly there wasn't much of a difference in our lives now that we sleep under the same roof.

Alas, the true change happened when I realized I missed the AC completely and poor Kaylee went MIA. Good news...

SHE IS BACK!

And she is ready to play with all you ducks out there. SO if we had previously been buddies and haven't seen each other in a while (which is everyone) I'm coming up with a reason why the dear girl was missing from the community and we can have our heartfelt hellos all over again.
