Okay, so we have a tagging system, right?

What if, guise, what if we all started tagging the posts we comment to with the characters we comment with?


Say: Tony Stark here makes a post. Betty Lou commented, so the player would click the tag button and add on betty lou to the tag list.


THAT WAY, when we're looking for ac stuff, we can see everything our characters have commented to instead of just the posts we made.

ALSO, there have been some tag disappearances-- SOME OF WHICH ARE PROBABLY MY FAULT SO I APOLOGIZE but also some that I know I didn't delete so there might be some glitches or something happened when I went through, I don't know. D: pre-emptive SORRY and you might want to go through and re-tag some of your old posts. fff.

EDIT2: ALSO, as it was suggested, ADDING POSTS YOUR CHARACTERS HAVE COMMENTED TO, TO YOUR MEMORIES. You can custom call them whatever you like, and it'll save a lot of time when you're looking for ac links. :3

I already do this in my character journals because I'm anal, and it's an awesome way to see when you've had conversations with who, even not for the AC.

I think it's fine, as long as people don't start adding tags that don't already exist (unless the characters in question don't have tags of their own).

Sounds good to me! And I'd also suggest that putting all the stuff you comment to in your own memories is a really easy way to organize and make sure you have stuff for AC, or things to look back on if you need to find something to reference later. :D

...I should make note that I stole the idea for that from Idgie, as I do all my good ideas. >_>

That's a good idea, and I like it, but unfortunately I think there's a tag limit on posts (or at least, a point it reaches before it gets really cluttered). On posts that have more than 20 people commenting (like say, one of Kid's heist notes or something xD ) could certainly rack up the tags.

Like I said it's a good idea, but maybe should be restricted to smaller posts or ones with notably long threads between two characters (you know the sort, the ones that could clear two ACs in one go). Maybe there's some way to do it more efficiently...

Maybe a comment limit? If a thread between two characters in a post exceeds ten or twenty comments, or something like that, then the non-OP character can tag the post?

Well, the point would be to help people find comments they left for ac and a lot of times it's leaving 2 or 3 comments somewhere and being unable to find them that gets them.

the issue wont be maxing out tags, really, and I dont like the thought of giving a limit before you can tag for your character. if you comment, you comment!

You know, I was considering suggesting this a while back but never did 'cause I thought people would think it was too cluttered. XD In other words: I'm for it!

Speaking as someone who regularly goes into the Edit Tags screen to take out extraneous tags that people add, can people please think more carefully before creating a new tag? And if your character is a double - Alle and Halle or example - please stick to only one tag for both, we can't justify having more than one for only one overall character when we have a tag limit that we keep hitting. And before tagging for a virus, look at the tags already in use for that virus? We end up with about three for the same one, and it's too much of a job to re-tag 300 entries. /rant

XD; also -- i was thinking the same thing! usually if a thread goes on; and it starts to heavily involve another character in the comments I usually tag them into it ;)

For AC notifications - memories are nice. Also, I get email notifications, so I can just search through my inbox for threads.

I'm going to be unpopular, sob, and say I'm against it. I use tags to find posts that characters have made. If you play a character that comments on every other damn thing, and you're trying to find a post that they've made or is about them, then...it could get really tricky. XD;

If people are that worried about finding comments, they should either keep a saved list of links, or use the memories. o3o

Ah, that'd be fine if they wanted to add in their character's name as a tag-- users can create their own tags at this point; the only thing we're warding against is adding stuff like '____ loves ____', '____ is mad' etc etc, just the character's name will do. :x
